SWAMP Data Management Resources Webpage --- Checker Home --- Data Submittal Form
Select the correct Data Category of your data from the pull-down menu. In this case you want to select Chemistry.
Enter your e-mail address. The results from the data check and a confirmation of submittal will be sent to this address.
Select the Submitting Agency of the data from the pull-down menu.
Select the file you wish to check by clicking on the button labeled "Browse..." to open the File Selection Dialog box. It is recommended you save and close the excel data file before checking it.
After you have selected the file, click the "Check Excel File" button to check your file.
The file will now be checked for basic formatting errors such as missing the 'Results' or 'LabBatch' worksheets. Any errors will be listed. These errors must be corrected before checking can continue.
If the file had no formatting errors, the data will be checked for compliance against SWAMP business rules. When the testing is complete you will be automatically redirected to the results page.
On the results page you will hopefully be greeted by a congratulatory message. If not, any suspected errors with the file will be listed. You may correct the errors in Excel, save and close the file, and check the file again by clicking the back button and re-running the checker.
If you are ready to submit your data to the SWAMP Data Management Team, click the button labeled "Submit Data To SWAMP".
You may use the Submittal Form to send an optional comment to the DMT along with your file by filling out the "Comments" box.
If you would like someone to receive a carbon copy of your submittal confirmation email simply type in their email address in the "CC" field.
You may submit your file to the SWAMP Data Management Team to be loaded into the SWAMP Database by clicking the button labeled "Submit Data To SWAMP".
Congratulations, your excel file has been submitted! You may now click the back button to return to the main page to check another file or close the window if you are done using the checker.
